Age Relaxation:-
(i) Upper age limit shall be determined as on last date of submission of online applications.
(ii) Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate only will be accepted by the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.
(iii) No age relaxation would be available to SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates applying for unreserved vacancies. (iv) Permissible relaxation of upper age limit as per Government orders as well as category Sl. No. for claiming age relation as on the last date of receipt of applications are as under :

(a) Five years subject to the condition that on the closing date for receipt of applications the continuous service rendered in the Armed Forces by an Ex-serviceman is not less than six months after attestation. This relaxation is also available to ECOs/SSCOs who have completed their initial period of assignment of five years of Military Service and whose assignment has been extended beyond five years as on closing date and in whose case the Ministry of Defense issues certificates that they will be released within 3 months on selection from the date of receipt of Offer of Appointment. Candidates claiming age relaxation under this para would be required to produce a certificate in the prescribed preform to the Commission.
NOTE: Ex-Servicemen who have already secured regular employment under the Central Govt. in a Civil Post are permitted the benefit of age relaxation as admissible for Ex-Servicemen for securing another employment in any higher post or service under the Central Govt. However, such candidates will not be eligible for the benefit of reservation, if any for Ex-Servicemen in Central Govt. jobs.
(b) In order to qualify for the concession under (a) above, candidates concerned would be required to produce a certificate that they have been released from the Defense Forces. The Certificate for Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers including ECOs/SSCOs should be signed by the appropriate authorities specified below and should also specify the period of service in the Defense Forces:-
(i) In case of Commissioned Officers including ECOs/SSCOs:
Army: Directorate of Personnel Services, Army Headquarters, and New Delhi.
Navy: Directorate of Personnel Services, Naval Headquarters, New Delhi.
Air Force: Directorate of Personnel Services, Air Headquarters, New Delhi.
(ii) In case of JCOs/ORs and equivalent of the Navy and Air Force:
Army: By various Regimental Record Offices.
Navy: Naval Records, Bombay.
Air Force: Air Force Records, New Delhi. |

Guidelines for Scanning the Photographs & Signature:
Before applying online a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her Photograph and Signature as per the specifications given below:
(i) Photograph Image:
- Photograph must be a recent passport size color picture.
- The picture should be in color, against a light-colored preferably white background.
- Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
- Dimensions 200×230 pixels (preferred).
- Size of file should be between 20 KB – 100 KB.
- Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 100 KB.
(ii) Signature Image:
- The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black ink pen.
- The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
- The signature will be used to put on the Hall Ticket and wherever necessary.
- If the Applicant’s signature on the answer script, at the time of examination, does not match the signature on the Hall Ticket, the applicant will be disqualified.
- Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).
- Size of file should be between 10 KB – 50 KB.
- Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50 KB.
